Vicar
Andy Rimmer
Andy is married to Mary and they have 4 adult children. He has been Vicar of Christ Church since September 2017 and is excited about what God is doing in this part of North London. He loves all sport - especially cricket and football (still supports Portsmouth FC) - loves most types of music but struggles to understand gardening.
Associate Minister
Blessing Chishanu
Blessing is married to Anthea and is a proud dad of two lively kids who keep them on their toes. Though he’s been known to set his alarm for 3 a.m. to catch an NBA game, he is equally enthusiastic about hosting summer BBQs for family and friends. However, his greatest passion lies in helping others encounter the living Jesus as the Bible is taught.
Children & Families Worker
Julie Lewis
Julie is married to Paul and has 4 children. She’s a Northerner, studied nursing in Chester and has lived in London for nearly 20 years. Her absolute passion is helping children and families connect with Jesus.
Julie loves being crafty (making stuff!), watching a good drama or reading (if her kids allow), but struggles to find a decent brew this far south.
Pioneer Youth Worker
Pipe Figueroa
Pipe is married to Abi and they have 2 gorgeous little girls Chloe and Gabriela. Being proudly Colombian, Pipe is our resident salsa champion, hot-headed footballer and committed coffee-drinker. There aren’t many things that take that huge smile off his face and he is passionate about seeing young people discover their identity and calling in Jesus.
Licensed Lay Reader
Carol Betts
Carol has a full life involved in CCB. In whatever spare time she has she loves Marvel Films, Thor is a particular favourite, chocolate and non alcoholic pear cider. Not necessarily all together.
Leadership
Mary Rimmer
Mary is married to Andy and has spent more than quarter of a century rearing 4 fabulous human beings to adulthood. Mary leads, preaches, heads up CCB prophetic stuff and is often to be found praying with someone or other. Two or three cups of Earl Grey every afternoon are her secret to life, and in spare moments she is probably somewhere in the Vicarage garden, muddy trowel in hand.
Licensed Lay Reader
Julian Desborough
Julian is one of our two resident Lay Ministers! He has been in the media all his working life and now runs his own business as a publishing consultant. He is married to Carol and they have two adult children. He loves good cheese and good wine and don’t ask him about model soldiers unless you want a long conversation.
Church Wardens
Ken Morton
Ken has done an interesting variety of jobs throughout his life and views ‘retirement’ as adventure time - either with his adult kids, or far flung trips on a motorbike with friends, or long hikes in interesting parts of the world. If you’re lucky enough to visit the Open Door cafe when Ken is there, he makes the best ‘flat white’ coffee in Barnet.

Operations Manager
Jo Penn
Jo is married to Dan and they have twin girls at secondary school. Jo is usually found with a mug of strong tea in her hand. She is a fair-weather gardener and walker, and loves fish and chips on the beach (not easy living in Barnet). She spent 20 odd years in various education policy and project management roles before joining CCB in 2019. Workplace joy is a good to-do list, releasing others from admin and making things happen..
Administrator
Katy Rawlings
Katy is married to Simon and has one son. Brought up in the West Country, she loves rugby (watching, not playing!), genealogy, sewing and good coffee. She has spent almost all her career working in the media and entertainment as a performer and broadcaster. Highlights include presenting the Saturday morning children’s show Rise & Shine and the Wave 105 Breakfast Show, hosting the Bournemouth International Air Festival and interviewing Sooty!
Barnet CAP Debt Centre Manager
Karen Hedges
Karen splits herself between CCB and the Stable Church, her regular place of worship. You may bump into her around the place, either working (often chatting) or meeting up with friends in the Open Door Cafe. She enjoys reading, walking holidays with her husband, Pete, and catching up over food with friends. Karen loves seeing people connect with Jesus and experiencing the transformation that only He can bring.
Barnet CAP Debt Coach
Beth Raynor
Beth came to Barnet in 2021 having relocated from Manchester as a remote working Debt Advisor for CAP. Beth also splits her time in between The Stable and CCB and is passionate about seeing people set free (especially in the mind!) through the life giving power of Jesus. Beth loves to travel and has had the privilege of being part of several missions around the world. In her spare time you will often find Beth running or walking in the great outdoors, enjoying a good cup of tea, or maybe doing a little sketching/painting.
Children's Champion
Stuart Nicholls
Stuart is married to Tanuja and is busy juggling home life with two lively children alongside being a full time Science teacher at a secondary school.
Safeguarding Officer
Anna Coles
Anna joined CCB in 2021 along with her husband Simon and young children Bella & Jack. She nervously joined the youth team and found out the youth weren't so scary after all! Before having children she was a paediatric A&E nurse and enjoyed traveling around the world whenever she could. She loves people and is very extroverted.
